The site is within the Wye Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and is part owned by the Woodland Trust. Wye Valley Woodlands/ Coetiroedd Dyffryn Gwy are recognised as a Special Area of Conservation (SAC) under the EU Habitats Directive. (en)
