- Özlem Sara Cekic (* 7. Mai 1976 in Ankara, Türkei) ist eine kurdisch-dänische ehemalige Politikerin. Vom 13. November 2007 bis zum 18. Juni 2015 war sie Abgeordnete der Partei Socialistisk Folkeparti im dänischen Parlament Folketing. Dabei war sie die erste gewählte Abgeordnete mit nicht-dänischen Wurzeln. Vor ihrer politischen Karriere hatte sie mehrere Jahre als ausgebildete Krankenpflegerin in der Kinder- und Jugendpsychiatrie des Rigshospital in Kopenhagen gearbeitet. Während ihrer Zeit als Abgeordnete veröffentlichte sie 2009 ihre Autobiographie Fra Føtex til Folketinget (etwa: „Vom Supermarkt ins Parlament“). In einem TED talk erklärte sie 2018 ihr Konzept des „Dialogkaffees“. Dabei berichtete sie von ihren Erfahrungen, Menschen, die ihr Hassbotschaften geschickt hatten, zu einem Gespräch zu treffen („Why I have coffee with people who send me hate mail“). (de)
- Özlem Sara Cekic (born 7 May 1976) is a Danish-Kurdish former politician and member of parliament for the Socialist People's Party (SF). She is now General-Secretary of the organisation Brobyggerne (The Bridge-builders) - Center for Dialog Coffee. She is also a well renowned author, speaker, advisor and active in the public debate, especially on humanitarian issues. A nurse by education, she was first elected to the central committee of the Socialist People's Party in 2004. In the 2007 elections, she became a member of the Danish parliament. She was her party's spokesperson for health related issues. She left the party in 2016 due to disagreements regarding refugee policies and is not a member of any party today. In 2018 she was the second Dane ever to be invited to give a TED talk in New York on her invention - Dialogue Coffee - a new way of meeting and communicating, even with people with whom you might disagree.
