The NORTHBENZ Tiema XC2200 is a 7.5 ton 6x6 heavy military vehicle. It is based on the Mercedes-Benz NG manufactured by North-Benz Truck Corporation, Chongqing. The vehicle is used by the People's Liberation Army (PLA), as a heavy materials transport and as a chassis for special bodies. Serial production started in 1986 with the number of vehicles produced approximately 2000 pieces per year. Vehicles were able to work under different conditions across mainland China from warm areas in the south, across the hot sands of the Gobi Desert to the icy heights of Tibet.
