Velayudham is a 2011 Indian Tamil-language superhero film written and directed by Mohan Raja. It stars Vijay in titular role with Genelia in the lead, while Hansika, Santhanam, Saranya Mohan, Soori, Abhimanyu Singh, and Vineet Kumar in other prominent roles. The music was composed by Vijay Antony and cinematography by Priyan. Velayudham was released on 26 October 2011, and became commercially successful. The film collected ₹60 crore.
