The United States Agency for Global Media (USAGM), formerly the Broadcasting Board of Governors (BBG), is an independent agency of the United States government that broadcasts news and information. It describes its mission, "vital to US national interests", to "inform, engage, and connect people around the world in support of freedom and democracy". It is considered an arm of US diplomacy.
