Ronald Louis Cooper (born February 11, 1962) is an American football coach and former player. Currently, Cooper is the head coach at Long Island University following a year as a Senior Analyst at Alabama. Cooper served as the head football coach at Eastern Michigan University (1993–1994), the University of Louisville (1995–1997), Alabama A&M (1998–2001), and the interim head coach at FIU (2016). He was the defensive backs coach for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2012. A native of Huntsville, Alabama, he played high school football at Lee High School and college football at Jacksonville State University.
