Mauricio Echazú Puente (American Spanish: [mawˈɾisjo etʃaˈsu ˈpwente]; born January 2, 1989) is a Peruvian tennis player nicknamed "Garrita" ("Little Claw") because of his grinding playing style and fight spirit.He is a regular member of the Peruvian Davis Cup team. In August 2021, Mauricio has been provisionally suspended from the sport by International Tennis Integrity Agency (ITIA). From 6 August 2021, the player is prohibited from competing in or attending any sanctioned tennis events organised by the governing bodies of the sport due match fixing investigations.
