Kirby Puckett's 1991 World Series home run was a baseball play that occurred in Game 6 of the 1991 World Series on October 26, 1991, at the Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Game 6 is widely considered to be one of the greatest World Series games ever played. With the Minnesota Twins facing elimination against the Atlanta Braves, and with the score tied 3–3 in the bottom of the 11th inning, Kirby Puckett stepped up to the plate and drove the game-winning home run off of Charlie Leibrandt into the left field seats to force a decisive Game 7.
