George Bell (born 1957) is the tallest man in the United States at 7 feet 8 inches (234 cm) as recognized by Guinness World Records. He lost the title when Igor Vovkovinskiy was declared the tallest living man in the United States in 2010 at 7 feet 8.33 inches (235 cm). He was a deputy sheriff in Norfolk, Virginia, he played college basketball at Morris Brown College, Biola University with the Harlem Wizards and Harlem Globetrotters show teams.
