David Lyon (born 3 September 1965) is an English former professional rugby league and rugby union footballer who played as a fullback for Widnes, Warrington, St Helens, Sheffield Eagles and the Leigh Centurions. He switched to rugby union in 1996 and finished his playing career with Orrell. He is the son of Geoff Lyon the former Wigan RLFC great who played at Wigan from 1959 to 1969.
