The Bay Area Climate Collaborative (BACC) is a 501(c)(3) initiative of the Silicon Valley Leadership Group through its Sustainable Valley Foundation. It was established on March 6, 2009. The mayors of San Francisco (Gavin Newsom), San Jose (Chuck Reed) and Oakland (Ron Dellums) launched the BACC with the Silicon Valley Leadership Group and business and civic leaders to accelerate the clean energy market. The BACC created a 10-point action plan that includes advancing solar energy, energy efficiency, electric vehicles, and green jobs.
