Raymond Anthony "A. J." McCarron Jr. (born September 13, 1990) is an American football quarterback for the St. Louis BattleHawks of the XFL. He played college football at the University of Alabama, where he became the only quarterback to win consecutive BCS National Championship Games with victories in 2012 and 2013. McCarron was selected by the Cincinnati Bengals in the fifth round of the 2014 NFL Draft and spent four seasons as a backup. He also held backup roles with the Buffalo Bills, Oakland Raiders, Houston Texans, and Atlanta Falcons.
