- Zhuge Dan (chinesisch 諸葛誕; † 258) war ein General der Wei-Dynastie zur Zeit der drei Reiche im alten China. Er diente der Cao-Familie seit den Tagen Cao Pis und beobachtete den Machtverfall der Cao-Familie und den damit einhergehenden Aufstieg der Sima-Familie mit Argwohn. Zwar half er noch 255, Wuqiu Jians Aufstand gegen die Sima niederzuschlagen, aber 257 lehnte er sich selbst gegen sie auf, als die Usurpation des Regenten Sima Zhao bevorzustehen schien. Er sandte einen seiner Söhne ins Wu-Reich, um Beistand zu erbitten. Der ehemalige Wei-General kam ihm sofort zu Hilfe, aber die Hauptstreitmacht unter dem Wu-Regenten Sun Lin zauderte und zog schließlich unverrichteter Dinge ab. - Zhuge Dan (died 10 April 258), courtesy name Gongxiu, was a Chinese military general and politician of the state of Cao Wei during the Three Kingdoms period of China. When he held key military appointments throughout his middle to late career, he was involved in all of the three rebellions which broke out in Shouchun (around present-day Shou County, Anhui) between 251 and 258. During the second rebellion, he actively assisted the Wei regent Sima Shi in suppressing the revolt. After the rebellion, the Wei government put him in charge of Shouchun. As the Sima clan became more powerful and established themselves as the de facto rulers of Wei, Zhuge Dan feared that he would end up slain like Wang Ling and Guanqiu Jian – the leaders of the first two rebellions – so he started the third rebellio (en)
