Yim Jae-beom (Korean: 임재범; Hanja: 任宰範; also spelled Yim Jae-bum; born October 14, 1962) is a South Korean rock ballad singer who is widely regarded as one of South Korea's best vocalists. He debuted in 1986 as the vocalist for the heavy metal band Sinawe. After recording with other bands, including Asiana and Rock in Korea, Yim released his first solo album in 1991.

  • ( 같은 이름을 가진 GOT7의 리더에 대해서는 JAY B 문서를 참고하십시오.) 임재범(任宰範, 1962년 10월 14일 ~ )은 대한민국의 록 가수이다. 임 씨는 의 성을 이어받은 자녀 중 한 명이다.1983년 언더그라운드 라이브 클럽에서 록 음악 가수로 활동한 이력이 있는 그는 이후 1986년 서울고등학교 동문인 신대철과 함께 시나위 1집에 참여하여 〈크게 라디오를 켜고〉를 부르며 대중 음악계에 데뷔를 했다. 그러다가 군대 문제로 인하여 탈퇴를 하게 되면서 음악 활동을 잠시 접다가 록 밴드 부활의 이지웅 등과 함께한 외인부대로 활동을 재개하고 대한민국의 록 프로젝트 그룹이기도 한 록 인 코리아(Rock in Korea)를 거쳐 김도균과 함께한 아시아나 활동을 끝으로 밴드생활을 중단했다. 1991년 솔로로 전향하여 1집 타이틀곡 〈이 밤이 지나면〉으로 큰 인기를 얻었으나 표절 판정을 받고 방송 출연 정지를 당했고 뿐만 아니라 록 보컬로서 데뷔했음에도 불구하고 팝 발라드로의 전환 시도를 한 것이 그다지 마음에 들지 않았던 모양인지 이후 앨범 발표와 잠적을 되풀이하고, 방송 활동이 거의 없었음은 물론 인터뷰, 공연조차 하지 않고 앨범만 내다가 2004년에 처음으로 단독 콘서트를 열었다. 대표곡으로는 2집의 〈사랑보다 깊은 상처〉, 3집의 〈고해〉, 4집의 〈너를 위해〉 등이 있다. 2010년 KBS 드라마 《추노》의 메인 타이틀 곡인 〈낙인〉으로 다시 한 번 세간의 이목을 끌었다. 2011년에는 SBS 드라마 스페셜 《싸인》의 타이틀 곡인 〈독종〉을 불렀고, 같은 해 5월에 MBC 《나는 가수다》 출연이후 제 (ko)
