| - القوات الجوية والدفاع الجوي هي فرع من القوات المسلحة اليمنية، ومهمتها حماية سيادة النطاق الجوي اليمني.تأسست في عام 1990 م بعد توحد شطري اليمن الجنوبي والشمالي.تتشكل القوات الجوية من 8000 جندي وتمتلك تقديرياً 247 قطعة جوية ابتداءً من طائرات التدريب إلى المقاتلات الجوية مروراً بطائرات النقل ومروحية نقل/مقاتلة وبضع مروحيات طبية تم تدشينها في منتصف 2013. يعتمد التسليح اليمني بشكل عام على التسليح الشرقي خصوصاُ من روسياوتمتلك 30 طائرة من سوخوي سو-22 إضافة إلى أربع طائرات أخرى من طراز سوخوي 22UM3 في ترسانتها المكونة من 79 طائرة في نطاق الخدمة.وتمتلك القوات الجوية عدة قواعد عسكرية من أهمها «قاعدة الديلمي الجوية» في صنعاء و«قاعدة الريان الجوية» في المكلا و«قاعدة عتق الجوية» في شبوة و«قاعدة طارق الجوية» في تعز و«قاعدة العند الجوية» في لحج و«قاعدة الحديدة الجوية» في الحديدة. - L’armée de l’air yéménite (arabe: القوات الجوية اليمنية, romanisé: al-Quwwat al-Jawwiya al-Yamaniya) est la branche aériennes des forces armées yéménites. Le nombre d’avions ne peut pas être confirmé, mais la l’entretien de ces avions est faible. Les avions ont été acquis grâce à des dons d’autres pays soutenant l’Union soviétique ou les États-Unis pendant la Guerre froide. Cependant, la majeure partie de l’armée de l’air a été détruite par des frappes aériennes menées par la « Coalition arabe » composée principalement d’Arabie saoudite et des Émirats arabes unis: intervention militaire de 2015 au Yémen. - The Yemeni Air Force (Arabic: القوات الجوية اليمنية, romanized: al-Quwwat al-Jawwiya al-Yamaniya) is the air operations branch of the Yemeni Armed Forces. Numbers of aircraft can not be confirmed but serviceability of these aircraft is low. Aircraft have been acquired by donations from other countries supporting either the Soviet Union or the United States during the Cold War. However, most of the air force was destroyed by airstrikes conducted by the "Arab coalition" consisting mainly of Saudi Arabia and UAE: 2015 military intervention in Yemen. (en)
- La Al-Quwwat al-Jawwiyya al-Yamaniyya, (in arabo: القوﺍﺕ الجوية ﺍﻟﻴﻤﻨﻴـة), è l'attuale aeronautica militare dello Yemen e parte integrante delle forze armate yemenite. Istituita nel 1990, al momento della riunificazione della Repubblica Araba dello Yemen e della Repubblica Democratica Popolare dello Yemen, acquisì gli aeromobili in forza a quest'ultima, di regime filocomunista, di produzione sovietica.
