XinQi Dong (Chinese: 董新奇) is a doctor of medicine in geriatric medicine and internal medicine, the inaugural Henry Rutgers Distinguished Professor of Population Health Sciences at Rutgers University, and director of the Institute for Health, Health Care Policy and Aging Research. Dong also has led several epidemiological studies, investigating more than 4,000 Chinese adults, in order to better understand the health and well-being of Chinese families in the United States.

As an expert on population health and aging issues, Dong has appeared in multiple media outlets, including The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, Politico, The Huffington Post, Reuters, Science Daily, International Business Times, CBS Chicago, Fox News, NBC News, New America Media, DNA info, and many others. He is currently leading the design of the New Jersey Population Health Cohort Study, which will be the largest investigation of its kind to date in New Jersey. The data collection phase is expected to begin in 2020 and will involve approximately 10,000 participants from broad sections of the population, with additional targeting of diverse immigrant groups. The study will investigate factors that influence population health and potential solutions to advance health equity in New Jersey and across the country. Dong is the director of the Asian Resource Centers for Minority Aging Research (RCMAR), the only center in the national RCMAR program focused on researching trauma and resilience in older Asian American populations. The mission of the program is to improve the health of Asian American older adults and support work by diverse scientists focused on this population.
