The WJO has worked with conductors including Atso Almila, John Axelrod, Asher Fisch, Valery Gergiev, Manfred Honeck, Rupert Huber, , Gérard Korsten, Daniel Meyer, Andrés Orozco-Estrada, Andrea Quinn and Johannes Wildner. It is a member of the European Federation of National Youth Orchestras.
