| - فرجينيا فوستر دُر (6 أغسطس 1903 - 24 فبراير 1999) هي ناشطة أمريكية وعضوٌ في جماعات الضغط المدافعة عن الحقوق المدنيّة. وُلدت في برمنغهام ضمن ولاية ألاباما عام 1903، والدها الدكتور سترلينغ فوستر، وهو قسّ من الكنيسة المشيخية في ألاباما، ووالدتها آن باترسون فوستر. تزوّجت فرجينيا المحامي كليفورد در عندما كانت في سنّ الثانية والعشرين، وأنجبا 5 أطفال توفي أحدهما في سنّ الرضاعة. كانت دُر صديقةً مقرّبة لروزا باركس وإليانور روزفلت، فضلًا عن كونها نسيبة رئيس المحكمة العليا هوغو بلاك (زوج شقيقتها) الذي أصدر حكمه بخصوص الكثير من قضايا الحقوق المدنية المصيريّة، وتشمل دائرة أصدقائها ألجِر هيس أيضًا. أُدخلت فرجينيا در إلى الصالة الفخرية لنساء ألاباما في عام 2006. Amie proche de Rosa Parks et d'Eleanor Roosevelt, elle est intronisée au Temple de la renommée des femmes de l'Alabama en 2006. (fr)
- Virginia Foster Durr (August 6, 1903 – February 24, 1999) was an American civil rights activist and lobbyist. She was born in Birmingham, Alabama in 1903 to Dr. Sterling Foster, an Alabama Presbyterian minister, and Ann Patterson Foster. At 22 she married lawyer Clifford Durr, with whom she had 5 children, one of whom died in infancy. Durr was a close friend of Rosa Parks and Eleanor Roosevelt, and was sister-in-law (through her sister's marriage) of Supreme Court Justice Hugo Black, who sat on many crucial civil rights cases. Her circle of friends extended to Alger Hiss. She was inducted into the Alabama Women's Hall of Fame in 2006. (en)
