Villers Abbey (abbaye de Villers) is an ancient Cistercian abbey located in the town of Villers-la-Ville, in the Walloon Brabant province of Wallonia (Belgium), one piece of the Wallonia's Major Heritage. Founded in 1146, the abbey was abandoned in 1796. Most of the site has since fallen into ruins.

Il complesso venne edificato nel 1146 e successivamente abbandonato nel 1796 in seguito agli avvenimenti legati al corso della rivoluzione francese. Sin dal XIX secolo le strutture architettoniche dell'abbazia subirono un progressivo deterioramento e ad oggi la maggior parte del sito è ridotta allo stato di rovina. Attualmente (2014) il monastero di Villers è proprietà dello stato belga, i suoi resti sono classificati sia come monumento che come sito storico e fanno parte della liste du patrimoine immobilier exceptionnel de la Région wallonne. Bernarda w XII w., przeżywało rozkwit w XIII-XIV w., rozwiązane przez władze rewolucyjne w 1796 i sprzedane pośrednikowi handlu materiałami budowlanymi. W 1893 r. rząd Belgii odkupił tereny klasztoru i podjął wysiłki konserwatorskie. W 1973 ruiny klasztoru zostały wpisane w rejestr zabytków. (pl) L'abbaye de Villers, dont le nom canonique est « abbaye de Villers-en-Brabant », parfois improprement appelée « abbaye de Villers-la-Ville », était un monastère de l'ordre de Cîteaux situé près de Villers-la-Ville, en Brabant wallon (Belgique). Dès lors, aux XIXe et XXe siècles, le site a connu dégradations et restaurations. L'ancienne abbaye de Villers est devenue un lieu de visite romantique et pittoresque, mais bien que devenu touristique, le site se dégradait. L'État belge a donc procédé à l'expropriation des lieux en 1892 pour y entamer un important chantier de restauration. (fr)
