Uí Máil were an Irish dynasty of Leinster. They were descended from Maine Mál, the brother of the legendary high king Cathair Mór. The Uí Máil were a dominant dynasty in Leinster competing for the kingship in the 7th century before being eventually ousted by the Uí Dunlainge and retreating east from the River Liffey plain in the 8th century. They are then found along the western foothills of the Wicklow Mountains. The Glen of Imaal, named for them, appears to have been a center of their power. Kings of Leinster from the Ui Mail included:

Les rois de Leinster issu des Ui Mail sont:
* Áed Dibchine mac Senaig († 593)
* Crimthann mac Áedo, († 633)
* Fiannamail mac Máele Tuile, († 680)
* Cellach Cualann mac Gerthidi, († 715) Finamnail est l'ancêtre des Uí Théig (O'Tighe) qui occupe le nord du domaine des Uí Máil juste à l'ouest des montagnes de Wicklow pendant que Cellach Cualann est l'ancêtre des Uí Ceallaig Cualann (O'Kelly) à la frontière entre comté de Dublin et le comté de Wicklow dans les contreforts des montagnes de Wicklow. La région de Cuala est désignés fréquemment comme le pied des collines du sud de Dublin. (fr)

D'fhéadfadh é go bhfuil brí "uasal" le Mál. I dteannta le seo, bhí acu roinnt rudaí a raibh thábhacht shiombalach ag baint leo ó thaobh ríogacht na Laigean. Molann seo uile gur cheannairí dlisteanacha na Laigean iad, ar a laghad dá dtuairim féin. Seo a leanas ríthe Laighean de chuid Ui Mháil:
* Áed Dibchine mac Senaig, bás 593
* Crimthann mac Áedo, bás 636
* Fiannamail mac Máele Tuile, bás 680, sinsear Uí Théig, raibh ó thuaidh de chríocha Uí Mháil.
* Cellach Cualann mac Gerthide, bás 715, sinsear Uí Cheallaigh Cualann ar theorainn Átha Cliath agus Cill Mhantáin. Tugadh go minic an t-ainm Cuala ar bhunchnoic dheisceart Átha Cliath. (ga)
