| - قرار مجلس الأمن التابع للأمم المتحدة رقم 729، المتخذ بالإجماع في 14 كانون الثاني / يناير 1992، بعد التذكير بالقرارات 637 (1989)، 693 (1991) و714 (1991)، رحب المجلس بإبرام اتفاقات بين حكومة السلفادور وجبهة فارابوندو مارتي للتحرير الوطني لوضع حد للحرب الأهلية الجارية في السلفادور وعزم الأمين العام إنهاء بعثة مراقبي الأمم المتحدة في السلفادور. لذلك قرر المجلس توسيع ولاية بعثة المراقبين لتشمل التحقق من جميع الاتفاقات ورصدها بمجرد توقيعها في مكسيكو سيتي، ولا سيما تلك المتعلقة بوقف النزاع المسلح وإنشاء شرطة مدنية وطنية. نشرت البعثة الموسعة 372 فردًا عسكريًا إضافيًا و631 ضابطًا شرطة، ومراقبة اتفاقية وقف إطلاق النار التي من المقرر أن تدخل حيز التنفيذ في 1 فبراير 1992، والحفاظ على النظام العام. وقرر أيضاً تمديد ولاية البعثة حتى 31 تشرين الأول / أكتوبر 1992، وسيُستعرض مستقبلها بعد ذلك وفقاً لتوصية الأمين العام. كما حث القرار على التعاون الكامل من كلا الطرفين مع البعثة، وأعاد التأكيد على استمرار مهمة المساعي الحميدة للأمين العام، ودعم كولومبيا والمكسيك وإسبانيا وفنزويلا في المنطقة. - La Resolució 729 del Consell de Seguretat de les Nacions Unides, fou adoptada per unanimitat el 14 de gener de 1992 després de recordar les resolucions 637 (1989), 693 (1991) i 714 (1991), el Consell de Seguretat va acollir amb beneplàcit la celebració d'acords pel govern d'El Salvador i el Frente Farabundo Martí para la Liberación Nacional per posar fi a la Guerra Civil d'El Salvador i la intenció de Secretari General d'acabar amb la Missió d'Observació de les Nacions Unides al Salvador. El Consell, per tant, va decidir ampliar el mandat de la Missió d'Observadors per incloure la verificació i el seguiment de tots els acords un cop signats a Ciutat de Mèxic, en particular els relatius a la cessació del conflicte armat i l'establiment d'una policia civil nacional. La missió expandida va desplegar 372 militars i 631 oficials de policia, el seguiment d'un acord d'alto el foc va entrar en vigor l'1 de febrer de 1992, i el manteniment de l'orde públic. També va decidir ampliar el mandat de la missió fins al 31 d'octubre de 1992, i el seu futur es revisarà d'acord amb la recomanació del Secretari General. La resolució també va instar la plena cooperació d'ambdues parts amb la Missió, va reafirmar la missió contínua dels bons oficis del Secretari General i el suport de Colòmbia, Mèxic, Espanya i Veneçuela a la regió. - United Nations Security Council resolution 729, adopted unanimously on 14 January 1992, after recalling resolutions 637 (1989), 693 (1991) and 714 (1991), the Council welcomed the conclusion of agreements by the Government of El Salvador and the Farabundo Martí National Liberation Front to bring about an end to the ongoing civil war in El Salvador and the Secretary-General's intention to end the United Nations Observer Mission in El Salvador. The Council decided, therefore, to enlarge the mandate of the Observer Mission to include verification and monitoring of all agreements once they were signed in Mexico City, particularly those regarding the cessation of the armed conflict and the establishment of a national civil police. The expanded mission deployed an extra 372 military personnel and 631 police officers, the monitoring of a ceasefire agreement set to take effect on 1 February 1992, and the maintenance of public order. It also decided to extend the mandate of the Mission until 31 October 1992 and its future will then be reviewed in accordance with the Secretary-General's recommendation. The resolution also urged full co-operation from both parties with the Mission, reaffirmed the continuing mission of good offices of the Secretary-General, and the support of Colombia, Mexico, Spain and Venezuela in the region.
