- Rentetan pemikiran (bahasa Inggris: train of thoughts) adalah kesaling-terhubungan ide-ide yang berurutan yang diungkapkan dalam sebuah wacana atau pemikiran, termasuk pula bagaimana ide-ide tersebut diurutkan, khususnya dalam pembahasan bagaimana sebuah urutan membawa satu ide ke ide yang lain. Ketika pendengar atau pembaca kehilangan atau tidak dapat mengikuti rentetan pemikiran, seperti tidak mampu menemukan penghubung antara urutan kalimat atau frasa, atau tidak memahami hubungan antarkonsep dalam sebuah argumen atau presentasi, maka pemahaman tidak dapat dicapai.
