Tuto sérii odstartoval film Texaský masakr motorovou pilou, jehož režisérem je Tobe Hooper. Dočkal se dalších tří pokračování a stejnojmenného remaku. V roce 2013 proběhla premiéra snímku . V roce 2017 vznikl film pojmenovaný po hlavní postavě této série - Leatherface. V roce 2022 byl natočen snímek , avšak se nejedná o remake. (cs)

La famille décide de rester malgré tout et le jeune Thomas, licencié, se venge de son patron en le tuant. Le shérif veut l'arrêter, mais son oncle abat le représentant de la loi et endosse désormais le costume de l'autorité.
