| - L'estructura de les revolucions científiques (1962) és l'obra magna de Thomas Kuhn i un dels textos fonamentals de la filosofia de la ciència. En aquest llibre, es proposa un model explicatiu de la ciència, no pas com a acumulacions l'una sobre de l'altra, sinó com un paradigma dominant en cada època, de manera que es lliga la ciència al seu context històric. Kuhn aporta exemples concrets d'algunes disciplines per il·lustrar la seva teoria i divideix el procés general de canvi científic en tres fases: la creació de la ciència normal, la crisi del model i el canvi de paradigma final. - La Structure des révolutions scientifiques (The Structure of Scientific Revolutions) est un essai rédigé par le philosophe et historien des sciences, Thomas Samuel Kuhn. Paru en 1962, revu en 1970, l'ouvrage est incontestablement son œuvre majeure. Il y modélise notamment la science comme phénomène social et analyse les implications de cette approche, en s'appuyant sur de nombreux exemples tirés de l'Histoire des sciences. Les apports principaux de cet essai sont la révision des notions de paradigme et de révolution scientifique, avec l'établissement d'une distinction entre science normale et science extraordinaire, ainsi que la redéfinition de l'idée de progrès. Traduit en français en 1972, il a été réédité en 2018 avec une préface inédite de Jean-Pierre Luminet. (fr)

Sua publicação estabelece um marco para as disciplinas da história, filosofia e sociologia do conhecimento, popularizando os termos paradigma e mudança de paradigma. Kuhn desafiou ideia estabelecida (até então) do progresso científico como uma acumulação de fatos e teorias. Ele argumentou que períodos de continuidade de uma ciência normal são interrompidos por períodos revolucionários, cujas anomalias geram novos paradigmas que questionam os anteriores, levando a pesquisa científica a novos caminhos. Kuhn (1922–1996) verfasstes Werk und gilt als Meilenstein der Wissenschaftsgeschichte und Wissenschaftstheorie. Durch das Buch wurden Begriffe wie Paradigma und Paradigmenwechsel popularisiert. Das erste Mal wurde das Werk als Monographie in International Encyclopedia of Unified Science publiziert. 1962 erschien das Buch in Erstauflage bei University of Chicago Press. 1977 erschienen weitere Aufsätze von Kuhn zum Thema „Entstehung des Neuen“.
