Obwohl Rettungskräfte innerhalb weniger Minuten den Nachtclub The Station erreichten, kamen infolge des sich schnell ausbreitenden Feuers und der örtlichen baulichen Gegebenheiten des Nachtclub-Gebäudes am südlichen Stadtrand West Warwicks 100 Menschen ums Leben, weitere 230 Personen wurden verletzt.
