Theodore Preston Hill (born December 28, 1943) is an American mathematician specializing in probability theory. He is a professor emeritus at the Georgia Institute of Technology and a researcher at California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo.

Após estudar engenharia na Academia Militar dos Estados Unidos em West Point, matemática econômica (pesquisa operacional) na Universidade Stanford e matemática na Universidade da Califórnia em Berkeley obteve em 1977 em Berkeley um Ph.D. em matemática, orientado por Lester Dubins, com a tese On the Existence of Good Markovian Strategies. Foi em seguida até aposentar-se em 2003 professor de matemática do Instituto de Tecnologia da Geórgia. (pt) Theodore Preston (Ted) Hill (* 28. Dezember 1943 in Flatbush) ist ein US-amerikanischer Mathematiker. Nach Studien der Ingenieurwissenschaft an der United States Military Academy in West Point, Wirtschaftsmathematik (Operations Research) an der Stanford University und Mathematik an der University of California, Berkeley wurde er 1977 in Berkeley zum Ph.D. in Mathematik promoviert. Anschließend bis zu seiner Emeritierung 2003 war er als Mathematikprofessor am Georgia Institute of Technology tätig. Daneben hatte er Gastprofessuren in Amerika und Europa inne, unter anderem auch an der Universität Göttingen im Wintersemester 1988/89. (de)
