- Οι Σταφυλόκοκκοι είναι μικροοργανισμοί και συγκεκριμένα βακτήρια. Κατατάσσονται στα δυνητικά αερόβια καταλάση-θετικά γένη των Gram θετικών κόκκων. Τα βασικά τους χαρακτηριστικά είναι:
