| - ポートロワイヤルの戦い（英：Battle of Port Royal）またはアカディア征服は、イギリスの正規兵、およびイギリス入植地の総督フランシス・ニコルソンの指揮下にある現地兵と、の指揮下にあるアカディア駐屯兵との間で、アカディアの首都で、1710年10月5日から13日まで行われた戦いである。イギリスはこの包囲戦に勝利し、アカディアの半島部分を自国のものとして、ノバスコシアと改名した。これは、イギリスが、初めてフランスの入植地域を、自らの支配下におさめた戦いでもあった。フランスの降伏の後、イギリスは首都の要塞を占領し、ヨーロッパの戦争で要塞を奪った時のような、華々しい儀式を展開した。 この戦いは、アン女王戦争期間中に、イギリスが3度アカディアの首都を奪おうと試みて、やっと達成されたものであり、その後の50年間に重大な意味を持たせることになった。また、1711年から1713年にかけての、条約による交渉は、新たな問題が作りだされるもとともなった。ノバスコシアに入植地を新しく建てることで、アカディアに留まり続けようとするアカディア人とミクマク族 の将来に関して、大きな問題点が生じたのである。 アカディア征服は、カナダという国家の歴史の根幹をなすものでもあった。イギリスによる、そしてケベックの征服の先駆となり、北アメリカのフランスの権力をことごとく終結させる、その前兆となった。 (ja)
- قامت القوات البريطانية النظامية والإقليمية بحصار بورت رويال (5 – 13 في أكتوبر 1710), والمعروف كذلك باسم غزو أكاديا, تحت إمرة القائد فرانسيس نيكولسون ضد الحامية الفرنسية أكاديان وكونفدرالية واباناكي تحت إمرة دانيال دوجيه دي سوبيركاس والعاصمة الأكادية، بورت رويال، في البداية نجحت بريطانيا في حصارها وسيطرت بشكل دائم على شبه جزيرة أكاديا والتي سميت فيما بعد نوفا سكوشا, وكانت هذه أول مرة تستولي فيها بريطانيا على مستعمرة فرنسية وتحوزها. وبعد استسلام فرنسا احتلت بريطانيا حصن العاصمة وأقاموا الاحتفالات بالاستيلاء على أعظم حصون أوروبا, وأعادوا تسميتها لتكون أنابوليس رويال. Après la défaite de la garnison, les Britanniques occupèrent le Fort Anne avec toutes les cérémonies d'une capture d'une grande forteresse européenne et renommèrent Port-Royal Annapolis Royal. (fr)
- The siege of Port Royal (5–13 October 1710), also known as the Conquest of Acadia, was a military siege conducted by British regular and provincial forces under the command of Francis Nicholson against a French Acadian garrison and the Wabanaki Confederacy under the command of Daniel d'Auger de Subercase, at the Acadian capital, Port Royal. The successful British siege marked the beginning of permanent British control over the peninsular portion of Acadia, which they renamed Nova Scotia, and it was the first time the British took and held a French colonial possession. After the French surrender, the British occupied the fort in the capital with all the pomp and ceremony of having captured one of the great fortresses of Europe, and renamed it Annapolis Royal. (en)
- L'assedio di Port Royal del 1710 noto anche col nome di conquista dell'Acadia, venne condotto dall'esercito regolare britannico e dalle forze provinciali al comando di contro la guarnigione francese d'Acadia e contro la sotto il comando di , presso la capitale acadiana, Port Royal. Il successo dell'assedio inglese segnò l'inizio del permanente controllo dei britannici sulla porzione peninsulare dell'Acadia che venne rinominata Nuova Scozia e fu il primo possedimento coloniale francese strappato ai francesi dagli inglesi.
