Sherut Leumi (Hebrew: שירות לאומי, lit. National Service) is an alternative voluntary national service in Israel for those who are ineligible for service in the Israel Defense Forces or object to serving in the army, mostly for religious Jewish girls, although also for candidates of both genders with other reasons.
