Sete Cidades Massif is a stratovolcanic complex, referring to a polygenetic volcano and caldera, located in western part of the island of São Miguel, in the Portuguese archipelago of the Azores. More recognizable for the Lagoa das Sete Cidades at its centre, the volcanic complex includes centuries of geomorphological structures that include lava domes, cones, lava flows and maar geomorphology that have marked its history.

| - Sete Cidades je sopka nacházející se v západní části ostrova São Miguel. Jde o jednu z nejaktivnějších sopek v Azorské souostroví. Sopka, jakož i její okolí je součástí přírodní rezervace. Vrchol sopky je ukončen 5 km širokou kalderou se stěnami vysokými až 500 m. V kaldeře se nacházejí dvě jezera: Lagoa Azul (s modrým odstínem vody) a Lagoa Verde (se zeleným odstínem). Kaldera se vytvořila přibližně před 22 000 lety, později bylo zdokumentovaných dalších 22 postkalderových erupcí, které vytvořily četné trachytické lávové dómy, lávové proudy a depozity pyroklastik, nacházející se na severních a západních svazích kaldery. Der See teilt sich auf in zwei Teile, die durch einen schmalen Kanal verbunden sind. Der See misst von Nordwest nach Südost etwa fünf Kilometer in der Länge und ist ein bis zwei Kilometer breit. Am Westufer befindet sich die Ortschaft Sete Cidades. Der Vulkan war im Verlauf der letzten 5000 Jahre einer der aktivsten auf den Azoren. (de)
