| - Rabbi Samuel ben Abraham Aboab (Hebrew: רבי שמואל בן אברהם אבוהב; c. 1610 – August 22, 1694) also known by his acronym RaSHA (רש"א, Rabbi Shmuel ben Avraham) was a 17th century Western Sephardic rabbi and scholar, who is considered to be one of the greatest rabbinic sages of Italy. He served as the av bet din of Venice, where he rose to great prominence due to his vast knowledge of rabbinic literature. He is known for being an adamant opponent of the Sabbatean movement, and an early supporter of the old Yishuv. (en)
- Samuele Aboab (Venezia, 1610 – Venezia, 22 agosto 1694) è stato un rabbino italiano.Iniziò molto presto lo studio della letteratura rabbinica e a 13 anni divenne il pupillo del dotto . Da lui Aboab ricevette quella disposizione intellettuale che seguì per tutta la vita. A 18 anni sposò Mazzal-Tob, la figlia senza dote di Franco, cosa che a quel tempo costituiva un avvenimento inusuale. Il rabbino Joshua (Joseph) ben David di Venezia compose una elegia sulla sua morte, pubblicata nella raccolta di poesie Kos Tanhumim (Venezia, 1707). (it)
