Sérgio T. Rebelo (born October 29, 1959) is a Portuguese economist who is the current MUFG Bank Distinguished Professor of International Finance, who served as Chair of the Finance Department at the Kellogg School of Management. He is also a co-director of the Center for International Macroeconomics at Northwestern University. He received his doctorate in economics from University of Rochester in 1989, and has served in a variety of roles in the non-profit sector. He is a fellow of the Econometric Society, the National Bureau of Economic Research, and a research fellow at the Center for Economic and Policy Research. He has been a member of the editorial board of various academic journals which include American Economic Review, the European Economic Review, the Journal of Monetary Economics
