- El Royal Albert Dock es un complejo de muelles y almacenes situado en Liverpool (Reino Unido). Diseñado por Jesse Hartley y Philip Hardwick, fue inaugurado en 1846 y fue la primera estructura del Reino Unido construida con hierro fundido, ladrillos y piedra, sin madera estructural. Como consecuencia, fue el primer sistema de almacenes resistente al fuego del mundo.
