Roger Millward MBE (16 September 1947 – 2 May 2016) was an English rugby league footballer who played in the 1960s and 1970s, and coached in the 1980s and 1990s. A goal-kicking stand-off, he gained a high level of prominence in the sport in England by playing for Hull Kingston Rovers (captain) and Castleford (Heritage № 483), as well as representing Great Britain. Millward was awarded the Order of the British Empire (MBE) in 1983. Nicknamed “Roger the Dodger” for his elusive running, he was inducted into the Rugby League Hall of Fame in 2000. Millward’s ability placed him in the top bracket of rugby league halves to have ever played the game.

  • Roger Millward, né le 16 septembre 1947 à Castleford (Angleterre) et mort le 2 mai 2016, est un joueur de rugby à XIII anglais évoluant au poste d'ailier, de demi de mêlée ou de demi d'ouverture dans les années 1960, 1970 et 1980. Après des débuts à Castleford, il rejoint en 1966 Hull KR. Avec ce dernier, il remporte le Championnat d'Angleterre en 1979 et la Challenge Cup en 1980. Il tente une aventure une aventure en Australie à Cronulla-Sutherland en 1976. Parallèlement, Il a été sélectionné à vingt-neuf reprises en sélection de Grande-Bretagne et à dix-neuf reprises en sélection d'Angleterre.
