Ranulf II (also known as Ranulf de Gernon), 4th Earl of Chester (1099–1153), was an Anglo-Norman baron who inherited the honour of the palatine county of Chester upon the death of his father Ranulf le Meschin, 3rd Earl of Chester. He was descended from the Counts of Bessin in Normandy.

Baron von Kendal, und Roger FitzGerald de Roumare, Herr von Roumare. Lucy gehörte einer hochgestellten angelsächsischen Familie an und war Erbin zahlreicher Domänen und Burgen in Lincolnshire. Ranulfo brevemente aliou-se a Estêvão quando David foi para o lado de Matilde. O rei inglês acabou prendendo-o e forçando-o a entregar seus castelos. Depois de libertado, Ranulfo fez um acordo com a Escócia. Ele morreu em 1153, após o fim da guerra civil, vítima de um envenenamento. (pt)
