- RTL is a French commercial radio network owned by the RTL Group. Founded in 1933 as Radio Luxembourg, it broadcast from outside France until 1981 because only public stations had been allowed until then. It is a general-interest, news, talk and music station, broadcasting nationally ("category E" as classified by the CSA) in France, French-speaking Belgium, and Luxembourg. RTL also broadcasts on long wave frequency 234 KHz from Beidweiler which can be picked up in large parts of the continent. It has a sister station called Bel RTL tailored for the French Community of Belgium. As of 2018, RTL is France's most popular radio station with an average of 6.4 million daily listeners that year. - RTL ist ein französischer privater Hörfunksender, der zu 100 Prozent zur RTL Group gehört. Der Sender wurde 1933 als Radio Luxembourg gegründet und 1966 in RTL umbenannt. Das Programm wurde bis 1981 teils in Paris, teils in Luxemburg produziert. Der Standort Luxemburg war aus rechtlichen Gründen notwendig, da bis zur Einführung der privaten Hörfunks nur öffentlich-rechtliche Sender aus Frankreich für Frankreich senden durften. Mit der Abschaffung des staatlichen Fernmeldemonopols 1981 änderte sich die Situation, und alle Sendungen kamen seither aus den Studios in der Rue Bayard in Paris; inzwischen betreibt RTL ein neues Funkhaus am Pariser Stadtrand. Das Programm ist ein Vollprogramm mit einem hohen Wortanteil und daher nicht mit dem musikorientierten redaktionsarmen Programm von RTL Radi (de)
- RTL (sigle de Radio Télévision Luxembourg) est une station de radio généraliste privée française de catégorie E créée en 1925 sous le nom de Radio Luxembourg. Elle appartient actuellement au groupe M6, dont l'actionnaire principal est le géant audiovisuel luxembourgeois RTL Group. En plus de cette radio, plusieurs stations dont le nom officiel comprend également l'acronyme RTL émettent en plusieurs langues dans différents pays. Elles dépendent toutes de RTL Group, notamment RTL Radio Lëtzebuerg, Bel RTL et RTL Radio. (fr)
