Plas John Johnson Jr. (born July 21, 1931) is an American soul-jazz and hard bop tenor saxophonist, probably most widely known as the tenor saxophone soloist on Henry Mancini’s "The Pink Panther Theme". He also performs on alto and baritone sax as well as various flutes and clarinets.

Plas Johnson speelde eerst met zijn broer Ray Johnson op piano samen als the Johnson Brothers. Na enige tijd met Charles Brown getoerd te hebben, verhuisde hij naar Los Angeles en werkte daar als sessiemuzikant. Voor Capitol Records speelde hij mee op ontelbare opnamen met onder anderen Peggy Lee, Nat King Cole en Frank Sinatra, maar ook The Beach Boys.
