Pierre Vachon (3 June 1738 – 7 October 1803) was a French composer. Vachon was born in Avignon, France. He wrote around thirty string quartets, various chamber works, operas, and orchestral pieces. He studied the violin with in Paris and first performed on 24 December 1756, at the Concert Spirituel, playing one of his own compositions. He also performed as first violinist in the orchestra of the Prince of Conti. He died in Berlin at the age of 65.

Il a étudié le violon avec (Charles Chabran) à Paris et se produisit pour la première fois le 24 décembre 1756, au Concert Spirituel, en jouant deux de ses concertos pour violon. El triomf assolit li valgué la ràpida anomenada com a solista, sent designat el 1761 per al lloc de director de l'orquestra del príncep de Conti. Després viatjà alguns anys per Anglaterra i Alemanya, i el 1784 fou nomenat director de l'orquestra imperial de Berlín, càrrec que conservà fins al 1798. (ca)
