A permanent private hall (PPH) in the University of Oxford is an educational institution within the university. There are five permanent private halls at Oxford, four of which admit undergraduates. They were founded by different Christian denominations. The principal difference between a college and a PPH is that whereas the former are governed by the fellows of the college, the governance of a PPH resides, at least in part, with the corresponding Christian denomination. Students at PPHs are members of the University of Oxford and have full access to the university's facilities and activities.

En alguns casos, un Permanent Private Hall pot obtenir l'estatus de college. Els exemples més recents són (esdevingué un college el 1995) i (esdevingué un college el 1996). Per altra banda el hall de tancà al final del curs acadèmic 2007-08, ja que l'orde franciscà que el gestionava i finançava no podia mantenir-lo econòmicament.
