(pt) Pehr Victor Edman, född 14 april 1916 i Stockholm, död 19 mars 1977 i München, var en svensk läkare och biokemist, främst känd för sin egenutvecklade metod för proteinsekvensering kallad och för utveckling av den maskin som utför automatiserad Edmannedbrytning, sekvenatorn. 1972 flyttade Edman till Tyskland för att bli professor i biokemi vid Max Planck-institutet i strax utanför München. Edman utågs till ledamot (fellow) av 1968 och Fellow of the Royal Society 1974. Han avled 1977 av en hjärntumör. (sv)
