(pt) Patrick David Wall, auch Pat Wall, (* 25. April 1925 in Nottingham; † 8. August 2001) war ein britischer Mediziner, Neurobiologe und Schmerzforscher. Wall, dessen Vater Erziehungsdirektor für Middlesex war, besuchte die St. Paul’s School in London und studierte Medizin an der Universität Oxford (Christ Church College) und am Middlesex Hospital in London. Schon als Student wandte er sich den Neurowissenschaften zu. Bei seinem Bachelor-Abschluss 1948 hatte er schon drei wissenschaftliche Arbeiten veröffentlicht. Danach war er Instructor an der Yale School of Medicine. 1950 bis 1953 war er an der University of Chicago, wo er Assistant Professor wurde, 1953 bis 1955 an der Harvard University und ab 1957 Associate Professor und 1960 Professor am Massachusetts Institute of Technology. 1967 kehrt (de)
