The Parintintin are an indigenous people who live in Brazil in the Madeira River basin. They refer to themselves as Cabahyba, Kagwahiva’nga, or Kagwahiva, which means "our people." As of 2010, the Parintintin have a population of around 418 and live in three villages on two indigenous territories (TIs):
* TI Ipixuna 215,362 hectares (2,154 km2; 832 sq mi), and
* TI 228,777 hectares (2,288 km2; 883 sq mi).

Quando os parintintins foram "pacificados" pela Funai, entre 1922 e 1923, seu território se estendia da região leste do rio Madeira até a boca do rio Machado, a leste do rio Maici. Atualmente, a maioria da população habita em duas Terras Indígenas no município de Humaitá (Amazonas). Segundo dados da Funai, a Terra Indígena Ipixuna era habitada, em 1999, por 54 pessoas, e a Terra Indígena Nove de Janeiro, em 2000, tinha uma população de 80 pessoas. (pt)
