The Nure (Latin Nura) is a small river in northern Italy (province of Piacenza). It has its source on the northern slopes of Mt. Nero, elevation 1,754 metres (5,755 ft) above sea level, and after a course of about 75 kilometres (47 mi)—the second longest of the province—flows into the Po River 10 kilometres (6 mi) east of Piacenza, in the vicinity of Roncarolo, a frazione of the commune of Caorso, on the border with the Lombard commune of Caselle Landi. In this valley there are 79 fortifications (castles, fortified towers and dwellings, etc.)
