Se desempeñó como secretario de Educación Pública de 1931 a 1934 durante las presidencias de Pascual Ortiz Rubio y Abelardo L. Rodríguez y como secretario de Hacienda y Crédito Público de 1934 a 1935 durante la presidencia de Lázaro Cárdenas. Fue esposo de la activista Clementina Batalla. (es)
- Narciso Bassols García (October 22, 1897 – July 24, 1959) was a Mexican lawyer, socialist politician, ambassador to France, the Soviet Union, and the United Kingdom, and professor of law at the National University of Mexico. He co-founded the Popular Party (Spanish: Partido Popular), and the League of Political Action (Spanish: Liga de Acción Política). Bassols is most noted for his role in socializing the country's public education system. (en)
- Narciso Bassols García was een Mexicaans jurist en politicus. Bassols was afkomstig uit de staat Mexico en was een neef van president Sebastián Lerdo de Tejada (1872-1876). Hij studeerde rechtsgeleerdheid aan de Nationale Autonome Universiteit van Mexico (UNAM) en werd directeur van de rechtenfaculteit van die universiteit, maar moest aftreden nadat hij een jaarkalender met drie semesters poogde in te voeren.
