| - Die Metrorail Western Cape ist ein Schienennahverkehrssystem, das die Metropolgemeinde Kapstadt mit zahlreichen umliegenden Orten des Ballungsraumes Kapstadt verbindet. Es wird von der PRASA, die noch über weitere regionale Metrorail-Netze im Land verfügt, in Kooperation mit dem City of Cape Town’s Transport Directorate betrieben. Die befahrenen Strecken werden überwiegend von PRASA betrieben, mit Ausnahme der Streckenabschnitte Cape Town–Wellington–Worcester sowie Cape Town–Monte Vista, die von Transnet betrieben werden. Alle Strecken haben die in Südafrika übliche Kapspur und sind mit Ausnahme der Strecke nach Malmesbury elektrifiziert. Das Netz hat 118 Bahnstationen. An 16 Stationen wurde P+R-Flächen geschaffen. - Metrorail Western Cape is a network of commuter and suburban rail services in the City of Cape Town Metropolitan Municipality (metropolitan area of Cape Town) and in the surrounding towns of Malmesbury, Paarl, Stellenbosch and Wellington in the Western Cape province of South Africa. It is operated by Metrorail, which operates commuter rail services in the major cities of South Africa. The network is fairly comprehensive, however some key areas have no service, notably the Atlantic Seaboard, Western Seaboard and Durbanville. (en)
