V roce 1937 odjela se svým manželem Imre Ámosem do Paříže, kde se mimo jiné setkali s Chagallem. Chagallův vliv je patrný v jejích raných dílech, která se podobají i dílům jejího manžela, jde o lyricky provedené malby s groteskními prvky. (cs)

Sie besuchte von 1932 bis 1936 die Ungarische Akademie der Bildenden Künste; ihr Lehrer war János Vaszary. 1937 reiste sie mit ihrem Mann , ebenfalls ein Maler, nach Paris. Dort traf sie Marc Chagall. Sein Einfluss ist in ihrem Frühwerk zu erkennen. Dieses ähnelte der Arbeit von Imre Ámos mit lyrischen grotesken Elementen die ihre Gemälde charakterisieren. Ihr Gemälde Der Schöpfer ruht fand Berücksichtigung bei den 1000 Meisterwerken. (de)

Her artwork was considered abstract expressionism, utilizing bold colors and textures in her work, along with influences of surrealism. Her largest influences for her work were her own identity, particularly after her husband death during World War II, leaving her widowed; as well as humankind's exposure to tragedy throughout history. - Margit Anna (ur. 1913, zm. 1991) – węgierska malarka. Anna urodziła się w 1913 na Węgrzech. W latach 1932–1936 uczęszczała do Akademii Sztuk Pięknych im. Vaszarego w Budapeszcie. W 1937 wraz z Imre Ámosem, również malarzem, odbyła podróż do Paryża, gdzie poznała ówczesną paryską bohemę artystyczną, w tym m.in. Marca Chagalla. Na początku kariery malarskiej dzieła Anny był głównie groteskowe i przypominały prace tworzone przez jej współmałżonka Imre Ámosa. Margit Anna zmarła w 1991 roku w wieku 88 lat. (pl)
