Malcolm Schofield, FBA (born 19 April 1942) is a British classicist and academic, specialising in ancient philosophy. Having taught at Cornell University and the University of Oxford, he joined the University of Cambridge in 1972 as a lecturer in classics and a Fellow of St John's College, Cambridge. He was promoted to Reader in Ancient Philosophy in 1989, and made Professor of Ancient Philosophy 1998. Since retiring in 2009, he has been an Emeritus Professor at Cambridge.

From 1989 to 2003, Schofield was Honorary Secretary of the Classical Association, and from 2006 to 2007 he served as its president. From 2008 to 2011, Schofield served as the President of the Society for the Promotion of Hellenic Studies. From 2010 to 2016 served as Chair of Council of the British School at Athens. (en)
