Selandia (after the Latin name for the Danish island of Sjælland) was the name of three ships of the Danish East Asiatic Company, the best known of which, the first MS Selandia of 1912, was the most advanced ocean-going diesel motor ship in her time.

Wegen des Dieselmotors konnte auf die bis dahin üblichen Schornsteine der Dampfmaschinen verzichtet werden. Die Abgase wurden über ein Auspuffrohr im Kreuzmast abgeführt. Daher wurde das Schiff auch als „Schiff ohne Dampf und Rauch“ oder „Schiff mit drei Bambusstöcken“ bezeichnet. Ĝi estis pasaĝera-karga ŝipo kaj la unua ocean-taŭga ŝipo pelata de dizela motoro. Ĝia nomo estas la latina nomo de la dana insulo Sjælland.
