Lucjan Wilhelm Wolanowski (Lucjan Kon; February 26, 1920 – February 20, 2006), pseudonyms: Wilk; Waldemar Mruczkowski; W. Lucjański; (L.W.); lu; Lu; (lw); WOL., Polish journalist, writer and traveller. Wolanowski was born into an intellectual family in Warsaw, Poland. His father, Henryk Kon, was a lawyer, and his mother, Róża Wolanowska, was the great-granddaughter of Majer Wolanowski (1844–1900), the well-known Polish manufacturer. His sister, Elżbieta (Kon) Wassongowa (1908–2007) was a Polish translator and book editor.

Fils de Henryk Kon, juriste, et de Rose Wolanowska, Lucjan étudia la chimie à l'école polytechnique de Grenoble (1938-1939). Lors de la Seconde Guerre mondiale, il fut soldat dans l’armée polonaise clandestine, Armia Krajowa et contribua au développement de la presse indépendante. Il collabora ensuite avec l’Agence de Presse Polonaise, avec les hebdomadaires Przekrój (1945-1950), Świat (1951-1969), magazines Dookoła Świata et Magazyn Polski. (fr)
