| - Indianie Lucayan – plemię Indian zamieszkujących wyspy Archipelagu Bahamów w okresie od VI do XV wieku. Byli oni szczepem wywodzącym się od Tainów, których siedziby mieściły się na wielu wyspach tego Archipelagu, oraz Wielkich Antyli. Lud Lucayan wyginął zaledwie 25 lat po pierwszym kontakcie z Europejczykami na skutek niewolniczej pracy i chorób. (pl)
- Лукая́ны (лукайяны) — название племени араваков, населявших Багамские острова во время высадки Христофора Колумба. Это были первые коренные американцы, которых встретили испанцы (12 октября 1492 года). Это был миролюбивый народ. До прибытия Колумба, возможно, насчитывалось более 40 тысяч лукаянов, но из-за рабства, болезней и других тягот, вызванных появлением Колумба и его спутников, к 1517 году они практически полностью вымерли. - Los lucayos fueron los residentes originales de las Bahamas antes de la colonización europea de América. Pertenecían a una rama de los taínos, quienes habitaron la mayoría de las islas caribeñas en aquel momento. Los lucayos fueron los primeros americanos indígenas que hicieron contacto con Cristóbal Colón. Poco después del primer contacto, los españoles secuestraron y esclavizaron a los lucayos, culminando el genocidio con la erradicación completa de los lucayos bahameños para el año 1520. (es)
- The Lucayan people (/luːˈkaɪən/ loo-KY-ən) were the original residents of the Bahamas before the European conquest of the Americas. They were a branch of the Taínos who inhabited most of the Caribbean islands at the time. The Lucayans were the first indigenous Americans encountered by Christopher Columbus. Shortly after contact, the Spanish kidnapped and enslaved Lucayans, with the genocide culminating in complete eradication of Lucayan people from the Bahamas by 1520. (en)
- Les Lucayens sont les premiers habitants des îles Lucayes, actuellement les Bahamas et les Îles Turques-et-Caïques, avant l’arrivée des Européens. Ils constituaient une branche des Taïnos qui occupaient à l’époque la plus grande partie des îles Caraïbes. Les Lucayens ont été les premiers habitants des Amériques rencontrés par Christophe Colomb. Les Espagnols ont commencé à venir capturer les Lucayens pour les utiliser comme esclaves seulement quelques années après l’arrivée de Colomb, si bien qu’ils avaient quasiment disparu des Bahamas en 1520. - I Lucaiani (inglese Lucayans, spagnolo Lucayos) erano gli originari abitatori delle isole Bahamas prima della colonizzazione europea. Appartenevano al più ampio gruppo dei Taino, che all'epoca abitava la maggior parte delle isole dei Caraibi. Il loro nome deriva dalla parola Taino Lukku-Cairi, che significa "abitatori delle isole". Prima dell'arrivo degli europei si stima che i Lucaiani fossero circa 40.000, ma a causa delle epidemie e della schiavitù imposta loro dagli europei, già nel 1517 erano completamente scomparsi. (it)
